about

steve weidemann"As the primary perpetrator of weidemannia, my personal web site, I thought it best to provide you with a brief overview of what you'll find BEFORE you start clicking links, and jump into the weidemannia pool with both of your feet and halves of your brain,"

HOME - INTERACTION

[ intentionally blank ]

Consider this the obligatory welcome message. Not very welcoming.  A general purpose blog that may contain an uncontrolled lists of topics, without any rhyme or reason. A place to start the journey - that's all.

cybart gallery

A few of my graphic designs in a thumbnail gallery format.   Currently, there are two collections:  retro and notions.  Offered without further explanation. The seeds of what are to become a series of museum-quality art prints.

the emporium

Everyone likes to buy branded merchandise.  I set up a few stores using CafePress.com to sell some of my graphics or concepts to people in the world that feel they want to become closer to my artwork.   Will probably be changing or rotating designs every so often, so if you see something you like, you better buy it before it's too late!

weidemannia design

A link to my professional design portal and virtual business card. A showcase of some past graphic design and animation projects that might be of interest to others. A first-step toward asking me to participate in that multi-million dollar, award winning project you are planning.

RANTS - ITS ALL ABOUT OPINION

[eof] reboot-in-progress

Change is inevitable.  A personal chronicle of a life in transition. Evidence that there may be life after death. Reincarnation happens.

knowledge drain

A journal of corporate discovery and awareness. Observe a metamorphosis taking place over a period of years. A butterfly emerges from the chrysalis. Learning: Not all butterflies are beautiful.  Lessons learned transcend the classroom in which they were first shared.

unread postings

My first attempt at blog; intended to capture invented words and their explanations.  Most relate to terms related to the bizarre workings of a corporation.   In some cases, when the words have come from other sources, I've listed the creator.

real business

A six part article describing the craziness that is called "business as usual".  May offer some insight from someone who has gone there before you.

DIVERSIONS - ITS ALL ABOUT MUSIC

rock jots

Know how some people just can't shut up when their favorite music or artist comes on the radio? Really annoying, isn't it. Well, since the Internet offers a safe and insulated way for me to ramble on meaninglessly about Mott the Hoople, my album collection, or some new artist I might have discovered, I created the ROCK JOTS blog. [I originally thought it might be clever to call it "musiconnection" but after running a simple search in Google, found 400-bajillion hits.] At this point, I think I have the market cornered on this catchy title.  Remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

threeFOUR

My portal to all things Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople.  If that doesn't mean anything to you, how about great rock and roll?  Still disinterested?   Then I suggest you make another selection.  [Oh, go ahead and check it out - I won't tell.]

epiclectic's vintage vinyl

Here you will find a website I, the epiclectic, host that is designed as a place to share many wonderful and memorable record album covers. It supports visitor registration and allows people to add comments as well as submit postings of their own. While it was launched on December 6, 2003, it will be interesting to see how the community grows. I intend to continually add new record album covers to the site, and may eventually have ALL of the albums I own cataloged on the web. Another hobby without any plan for profit. Yet.

fantasy vinyl

On first glance, they seem like regular album covers. Right? But if you are perceptive - and I think you are - you will have determined that some of the faces shown on the covers don't seem to match the images in your memory. And you are right. I am exploiting photos of my family and close friends and merging them with my obsession with vinyl record album cover art. Now hosted on Flickr.

BACKGROUND - ITS ALL ABOUT ME

glimpse

Well, if you've read this far, you are probably either one of those people with no personal life of your own, or you find me captivating and want to know as much about me as you can find out.  In either case, you can catch a fleeting glimpse of me and my past here.  Think of yourself has having discovered my personal junk drawer.  Each thumbnail reveals another brief flash.

creative mine

Links to web sites that are either created or maintained by people personally related to me.

bricks in the wall

Page created soley to lure my fellow Sonora High School class mates to connect.  Based on the premise that people search on their own names across the Internet, and a page such as this will "grab them".  As they discover the page, and choose to contact me, I will provide a link to their email or business.   There is no money involved.

random acts [special hidden page]

Even more of my artwork.  Most pieces have been created using Adobe Photoshop, and involve scanned items, collages.  However, I find that the use of Flash as the method for presentation improves the web-viewing and navigation experience.  Check out the pen guy - a cartoon-based essay on the life of a pen-fanatic.  It's not so important that you understand the origins of the idea, but that you can identify with his ups and downs.

LINKS - ITS ALL ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE

dropping crumbs

Another blog that is equivalent to me dropping breadcrumbs of where I go on the Internet.  Not intended to record everywhere I've gone, but some of the sites that seemed to pique my interest at the time.  Perhaps in the future, if I become rich and famous, you will be able to reverse engineer my personal development based on those things that influenced me - or not.

coolasslinks

Links to sites that I wanted to capture and put in one place. Started a while ago, and only modified when something is truly worthy. A lot of animation and digital entertainment.  Some may be a little "off", but so am I. Don't judge me.
